If you have a genuine passion for the environment and sustainability, then this could be the role for you. We’re looking for someone who has a real belief in the difference a company can make when it comes to environmental impacts and sustainability initiatives, with a forward-thinking vision for future opportunities.
As Environmental & Sustainability Manager, you’ll get to:

- Take the lead on sustainable procurement for all goods and services.
- Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy.
- Lead the implementation of environmental policies and practices.

- Liaise with relevant bodies such as local authorities, public bodies, and competent bodies.
- Audit, analyse and report environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies.
- Undertake immediate investigations in the event of an environmental spill and produce a full report on findings, including root cause analysis and actions for prevention.
Make a real difference to the way in which our business impacts the world around us!
The personal behaviours, skills & experience you will display:
- Demonstrable experience of managing an environmental function (or similar relevant field).
- Demonstrable extensive knowledge of ISO14001.
- Able to promote and raise awareness, to influence internal and external stakeholders and effectively gain buy-in for environmental activities.
- Strong attention to detail, to compile accurate statistics and data, and write factual environmental reports based on this information.
- Demonstrable commercial awareness and an understanding of our commercial responsibilities to major framework partners, with the ability to work collaboratively with our partners to investigate and resolve any concerns.
- Able to set organisational sustainability targets, develop plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery through effective project management.
- Previous experience of managing a team would be beneficial, but not essential.
