As a Stores Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring materials are accurately stored, issued and available to support the refurbishment production.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate stock levels and locations within the stores – Including labelling, part identification, replenishment of consumables.
- Perform the goods inwards process – booking in, put away, quality checks.
- Perform regular cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Support maintenance of minimum stock levels as required, updating system data where applicable.
- Ensure stock movements are correctly recorded in the ERP system.
Picking and Kitting:
- Pick and stage kits accurately in line with released job lists.
- Ensure kits are complete, clearly labelled, and ready for production.
- Escalate shortages or discrepancies to the Production Planner.
Data Accuracy:
- Ensure physical stock matches system data.
- Follow and define standard processes for goods receipt, put-away, and issuing in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Maintain clear and organised storage locations – 5S and lean methodologies would be preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in warehouse or stores operations within a structured environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory handling processes, including cycle counting and stock control.
- Familiarity with ERP systems for inventory tracking and data management.
- Experience executing physical logistics tasks, including goods receipt, storage, and dispatch.
- Ability to perform quality checks and accurately locate parts using system data and documentation.
- Highly reliable with strong attention to detail and commitment to housekeeping and safety standards.
- Effective team player with proactive communication skills.
- Comfortable working in structured, measurable, and target-driven environments.
- Able to perform under pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
