We are looking for an experienced 360 Operator/ Yardperson to join our team in the Stoke Supercentre. The postholder will have a good knowledge of routine maintenance and safety checks, as well as the ability to operate equipment in a safe manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 360 material handlers, supercentre machinery, and associated equipment while following all Health & Safety procedures.
- Carry out daily equipment checks, report defects or breakdowns, and maintain high safety and housekeeping standards.
- Prepare, clean, load, unload, and store hire equipment and materials ready for transport and customer use.
- Assist with assembling specialist equipment and preparing ancillaries and accessories for hire.
- Check returned hire equipment for damage or missing items and ensure accurate paperwork and stock control.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to support project timelines and respond to operational requirements.
- Develop product knowledge and remain flexible to support business and project needs when required.
Qualifications
- CPCS A59B (Wheeled 360 Excavator) or NPORS equivalent certification.
- At least one year’s experience within the 360 GRAB operation.
- Good understanding of health and safety.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and meet challenging situations with a positive approach.
- Flexibility with working hours and availability to participate in the on‑call rota.
- Willingness and ability to travel and, on occasions, work away from home, and possession of a current Full UK driving licence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift truck operator certification.
- Understanding of the workings of a temporary/permanent pumping solution.
