Join to apply for the Setting Out & Surveying Engineer role at Selwood Ltd.
We are looking for a Setting Out & Surveying Engineer to join the Selwood Pump Solutions Installations team, based at our Head Office in Chandlers Ford. This role will provide detailed surveying and setting out of complex pumping applications to support the pump hire solutions business unit. You will map the live area, record data and send this back to the office to create an accurate map of the environment/site. You will set out and survey various sites including high streets, parks and treatment works.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surveying and setting out of sites for pumping solutions projects.
- Map live site environments, record data and communicate results to the office to produce accurate maps.
- Collaborate with projects, management teams and site engineers to ensure accurate surveying information.
- Maintain and upload surveying information with good organisation and data management practices.
- Travel within the UK as required (annual travel around 10,000 miles).
Qualifications
- Previous surveying experience, ideally in an engineering or construction environment.
- Experience with GPS and Total Station survey equipment (Robotic EDM).
- Knowledge of drone surveying and laser scanning is beneficial.
- Experience setting out on site and performing site surveys.
- Understanding of project management and timeline controls.
- Professional qualification in pump hire, utilities, or a water-related industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the UK.
