We are looking for a Mobile Fitter to join the team from our branch in Dartford, covering the surrounding region. This role will be responsible for carrying out diesel engine repairs, diagnostics, and pump maintenance on customer sites and in the branch workshop. Due to the nature of our branch operations, this role will involve being part of a call-out rota, which has a standby allowance plus excellent overtime payment. Base salary of £47,651, with potential earnings up to £63,360, including additional pay such as overtime, call-out payments, and other applicable allowances.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs to diesel engine equipment as needed or directed, including fault finding and diagnostic work on customer sites.
  • Conduct regular servicing on pump rental fleet equipment as needed on customer sites.
  • Work safely as a priority; knowledge of PPE requirements is critical.
  • Communicate accurately with work colleagues and customers.
  • Complete all necessary tasks on your tablet accurately and submit on time.
  • Maintain good housekeeping, ensuring work areas and vehicles are kept in good order and clean.
  • Complete daily vehicle defect reports to ensure safety.
  • Carry out all given tasks as set out by instructions or relevant training in a timely manner.
  • Understand company policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or other relevant qualifications) or equivalent work experience.
  • Full UK driving licence, as this role will involve attending site visits and breakdowns.
  • This role will be subject to a safety-critical medical.
