Key Responsibilities

• Specification of pump solutions to customer applications.
• Design pump skid assemblies, including pumps, motors, valves, and base frames.
• Develop technical proposals, datasheets, and cost estimates.
• Specify pumps, materials, and instruments in line with customer requirements.
• Support manufacturing and testing through to delivery.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customer enquiries.
• Interpret client specifications and prepare quotations and proposals.
• Attend customer meetings and site visits to define system requirements.
• Work with suppliers to source equipment and obtain competitive pricing.
• Help shape the sales strategy for pump skid and packaged system offerings.
• Compile tender submissions and follow-up.

Required Skills and Experience

• HNC / HND / Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering in a pump, hydraulic, process system design or related field.
• Confident communicating with clients and suppliers.
• Commercially aware—able to prepare proposals, quotes, and cost breakdowns.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in technical sales or project estimation.
• Familiarity with chemical dosing, booster skids, or industrial water systems.
• Ability to generate concept designs and pricing independently.
• Full UK driving license.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Strong understanding of rotating equipment, piping systems and electrical controls.
