About The Role: We are looking for an experienced 360 Operator/ Yardperson to join the team in our Stoke Supercentre. The postholder will have a good knowledge of routine maintenance and safety checks as well as being able to operate in a safe manner with the equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 360 material handlers, supercentre machinery, and associated equipment while following all Health & Safety procedures.
- Carry out daily equipment checks, report defects or breakdowns, and maintain high safety and housekeeping standards.
- Prepare, clean, load, unload, and store hire equipment and materials ready for transport and customer use.
- Assist with assembling specialist equipment and preparing ancillaries and accessories for hire.
- Check returned hire equipment for damage or missing items and ensure accurate paperwork and stock control.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to support project timelines and respond to operational requirements.
- Develop product knowledge and remain flexible to support business and project needs when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- CPCS A59B (Wheeled 360 Excavator) or NPORS equivalent certification.
- At least one year’s experience within the 360 GRAB Operating.
- Must have a good understanding of health and safety.
- Good communication skills.
- Be able to adapt and meet challenging situations with a positive approach.
- You will need to be flexible with working hours and be available to be part of our ‘on call’ rota.
- Be willing and able to travel and on occasions work away from home & hold a current Full UK driving license.
Preferred:
- Forklift truck operator certification.
- An understanding of the workings of a temporary / permanent pumping solution.
