About The Role
To support the growth in our Electrical teams, we are pleased to be hiring a new Electrical Manager to cover the South West of England and South Wales based from our Chandlers Ford branch. This role will be responsible for efficiently planning and managing comprehensive performance of the Electrical teams ensuring all requirements for internal departments and customers exceed expectations.
As an Electrical Manager, you’ll get to:
- Organise electricians establishing priorities to maximise the use of resources in achieving agreed objectives.
- Ensure monthly electrical service, safety inspection schedules are prioritised by the appropriate area.
- Attend sites with the commissioning electrician to inspect the work being carried out by the local electricians; to make sure the installations are being completed in line with the IEE regulations.
- Appropriately deal with any problems or issues arising from customers and internal departments within Selwood in a professional timely manner.
- Collaborate and communicate with the branches, customers, and suppliers.
- Recruit, train and motivate new and existing staff by promoting the core values and encouraging flexibility and teamwork with all other teams across the company.
- Liaise with the Learning and Development team in matters relating to the development of training and development activities.
- Carry out toolbox / safety talks on a weekly basis.
- Ensure that all company administration, quality assurance and health and safety policies are fully adhered to and that all activities are carried out in full compliance both with our policies and relevant statutory legislation.
Qualifications & Experience
- C&G 2377-32 (Management) in Service Testing & Inspecting of Electrical Equipment
- C&G 2382 – 18th edition IET Wiring Regulation desirable.
- C&G 2377- 22/32 – Combined Management Inspection and Testing (PAT Testing)
- C&G 2330 – Level 3 Certificate Electro Technical Technology advantageous
- Recognised Diploma in Supervision/Management
- Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- It’s vital that you’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment as you will be balancing multiple workstreams, whilst also working with several different clients and build partners in parallel; ensuring smooth efficiency and strong output is achieved.
- Experience of successfully managing a team, being able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to develop, coach, motivate and engage a team. Connecting and collaborating intensively across the organisation.
- A leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of leading and demanding a Health & Safety culture, driving, and creating an environment where good practices are a way of everyday life and total compliance is adhered to.
- A full UK driving licence is required as is travelling to different sites.
You will be a part of the on call rota and will be required to travel across the South West of England and South Wales. This role is subject to a safety critical medical.
