Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for a Response Surveyor to join our team at Selwood Housing, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing safe, quality homes and spaces that support our communities.
As a Response Surveyor, you will play a vital role in ensuring our properties remain safe, secure, and well-maintained for our customers. You’ll carry out responsive inspections, diagnose issues, and work closely with our repairs teams to make sure customers receive the high standard of care they deserve.
The main duties include:
- Diagnose building defects and identify suitable cost-effective remedies.
- Undertake property related inspections and produce written reports.
- Communicate well with our customers to keep them informed of progress of the repair.
- Produce specifications and procure small building works and manage through to completion.
What we need
For this role you’ll need to have the following skills and experience:
- HND or HNC in construction or building surveying. And/or relevant experience.
- Experience in diagnosing building defects.
- Experience of maintenance management and/or construction.
- Knowledge of managing contracts within budgetary constraints management.
- Knowledge and experience of Health and safety legislation and its practical implementation including CDM regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve issues and complaints for our customers.
- A basic DBS check will be required for this role.
