As our new Accounts payable assistant (Finance clerk), you’ll play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of our finance operations. This is more than just working with numbers – it’s about supporting people, homes and futures.
What you’ll do
- Receive and process invoices inputting into our purchase ordering system.
- Ensure suppliers are paid within agreed timescales.
- Ensure payment runs are accurate and on time.
- Carry out supplier statement reconciliations and liaise with suppliers and colleagues to investigate and resolve any account queries.
- Investigate miscoding’s to nominal ledger.
- Assist with reconciling systems, investigate and correct any differences.

You’ll bring
- Minimum of 5 GCSE or ‘O’ level Passes to include English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Previous experience of working in a finance team.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated and committed to Selwood’s values.
