Description

Who are we?

Seloxium Limited is a dynamic and diverse spin-out company from the University of Oxford.

We are revolutionising clean growth and the circular economy within the mining & refining sectors by selectively recovering high-value metals from in-process or effluent water streams.

Our multi-patented ‘selective flocculation’ technology will change the way we mine, refine and process these metals, offering a greener and more sustainable solution to metallic resource recovery and reuse.

We are a fast-paced company at an exciting stage of development, scaling our operations across two sites — an R&D laboratory and back office function in Oxford, and a pilot processing plant in the North East of England.

As we grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic

Process Technician within our hydrometallurgy operations team.

Your contributions will directly impact the advancement of our Selectal™ technology and help us maintain our position at the forefront of Aqua Mining.

At Seloxium you'll be encouraged to bring your curiosity and creativity to the plant or lab, working collaboratively with a passionate team comprising engineers, chemists and plant technicians.

This is your chance to grow your skills in polymer chemistry, metal recovery, and environmental science, all within an inspiring start-up environment that values your voice and initiative.

  • As a Process Technician within our hydrometallurgy team, during your day you will:
  • Manage and support the optimisation of our hydrometallurgical processes in our pilot plants, ensuring efficient operations and equipment maintenance.
  • Operate and monitor hydrometallurgical process equipment in pilot plant settings, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and calibrations to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Collect, record, and analyse process data accurately to support process optimisation and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with engineers, chemists and other technicians to implement process improvements and support scale-up activities.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, actively promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation related to process performance and operational activities.
  • Contribute to training and induction programs for new team members as required.

  • Competence in monitoring and interpreting process data to ensure efficient operations.
  • Familiarity with standard laboratory and pilot plant equipment and maintenance practices.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing operational needs.
