We are working with a highly regarded, independent law firm seeking a Newly Qualified to 3 PQE Employment Law Solicitor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work directly alongside experienced Employment Partners from day one, advising on complex, high-value employment matters for a sophisticated client base more commonly associated with large national firms.
The role is ideal for someone who wants early responsibility, meaningful client exposure, and high-quality work, but within a supportive environment that avoids the unsustainable pressures often seen in larger city practices. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your own caseload, while benefiting from close partner-led support designed to accelerate your development and progression.
What you’ll be doing
- You will work across a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including:
- Advising employers and senior individuals on complex employment issues
- Supporting partners on high-value, strategically important cases
- Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
- Working closely with partners on client strategy and delivery
- Contributing to business development and building your professional profile
What sets this role apart
- Partner-led from day one: You’ll work directly with partners from the outset, gaining early exposure to senior decision-making and client interaction.
- High-quality, complex work: The team advises on bespoke, high-value matters that rival the standard typically seen in much larger national firms.
- A more sustainable approach to work: The firm is committed to delivering high-quality legal work without excessive pressure, supporting long-term career development and wellbeing.

About the firm
As a proudly independent practice, it is known for its partner-led approach, long-term client relationships, and ability to handle complex, bespoke work to a consistently high standard.
