An international law firm is continuing its expansion into the UK market and is looking to appoint a Commercial / Technology Lawyer to join its growing team. Having recently established its Manchester presence and already attracted a number of high-calibre hires, this is an excellent time to join a firm in a genuine growth phase.

This is a high-autonomy, client-facing position where you will advise a diverse and often international client base on a broad range of commercial and technology matters. Your work will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Advising on SaaS, licensing, outsourcing and technology agreements
  • Supporting clients on data protection and GDPR matters
  • Providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to businesses
  • Managing matters end-to-end and building strong client relationships

You will have the opportunity to take real ownership of your work while being part of a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

The Candidate

  • 4–7 years’ PQE (UK-qualified or other common law jurisdictions considered)
  • Background in private practice or in-house
  • Strong experience in commercial contracts and technology matters
  • Solid understanding of GDPR and data protection
  • Experience working with international or cross-border clients is desirable
  • Confident working autonomously and managing client relationships

Additional experience in AI, emerging technologies, or holding a privacy certification (e.g. CIPP/E) would be advantageous.
