An NHS client in Staffordshire is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Strategic Procurement Manager to join their team. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing strategic procurement activities and delivering value-driven commercial solutions across a multi-ICS footprint. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple Trusts, supporting transformation through procurement strategy and collaborative engagement.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic procurement initiatives in line with national and local procurement legislation and guidelines.
- Deliver measurable savings and performance improvements, reporting to senior NHS leadership.
- Oversee category management, policy development, and large-scale procurement projects.
- Provide expert procurement advice to clinical and operational teams on high-value and high-risk contracts.
- Procurement experience to a suitable level is essential, with strong knowledge of UK procurement regulations and frameworks.
- Full MCIPS qualification is preferred, or significant procurement experience with commitment to achieving the qualification.
- Extensive procurement leadership experience, ideally in a public sector or healthcare setting, though private sector candidates with relevant skills are welcomed.
- Proven track record in contract negotiation, supplier management, and delivering cost savings.
