We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Multi‑Site Estates Operations Manager to lead operational estates services across a large, complex NHS estate. This is a key leadership role ensuring our buildings, engineering systems and grounds are safe, compliant and effectively maintained.

What You’ll Lead

  • Operational management of planned and reactive maintenance across multiple NHS sites
  • Delivery of safe, compliant estate services in line with statutory requirements and HTMs
  • Leadership of Operational Estates Managers, in‑house teams and contractors
  • Development of site‑level operational plans, performance monitoring and service improvements
  • Budget management and resource planning
  • Maintain risk registers and ensure strong safety practices across all estate activities
  • Oversee safe systems of work, RAMS, asbestos management, and contractor compliance
  • Support incident reporting, business continuity, and emergency response
  • Use CAFM systems for performance reporting and workload planning
  • Ensure accurate estate data and effective communication across teams

Requirements

  • Senior experience in estates or engineering operations, ideally in the NHS
  • Strong technical knowledge of building and engineering systems
  • Proven leadership of multi‑site teams
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organisational skills
