Sellick Partnership are supporting a large public sector organisation in South Yorkshire with the recruitment of a Systems Accountant to support the implementation and ongoing development of a new finance system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading finance workstreams during a major finance system implementation
- Acting as the finance systems subject matter expert for system design, testing, and configuration
- Working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure successful delivery
- Managing system improvements, upgrades, and ongoing development
- Supporting financial controls, reporting, compliance, and audit requirements
- Delivering finance systems training and user support across the organisation
The ideal candidate will have:
- A recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent)
- Experience of finance system implementation, transformation, or major upgrades
- Strong financial accounting and finance systems knowledge
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and complex organisations
- Excellent Excel, systems, and problem-solving skills
