Performance Improvement Manager (Planning & Building Control) Oxfordshire - Hybrid Working 6-Month Initial Contract Competitive Day Rate Are you a Public Sector specialist with proven experience driving performance and change?

Sellick Partnership is recruiting for an experienced Performance Improvement Manager to support a Local Authority's ambitious improvement programme across Planning and Building Control services.

This role is ideal for candidates with a background in local government performance, service improvement, transformation or operational management Whilst experience of Planning, Development Management or Regulatory Services would be advantageous, this is not a planning management role .

The successful candidate will focus on driving service performance, strengthening accountability, improving processes and supporting the delivery of key improvement plans across the service.

Key responsibilities of the Service Improvement Manager includes: Leading performance management and reporting across Planning and Building Control services.

Developing and monitoring KPIs, ensuring performance targets are clearly understood and achieved.

Analysing performance data, identifying trends, risks and areas requiring intervention.

Working with service managers to embed performance frameworks and a culture of continuous improvement.

Driving service improvement initiatives and support the implementation of operational efficiencies.

Challenging performance where required and ensure improvement actions are delivered.

Supporting senior leaders with business planning, transformation and organisational change programmes.

Overseeing customer feedback, complaints performance and service standards.

Supporting digital transformation, process redesign and systems improvement projects.

Contributing to preparations for Local Government Reform and wider corporate transformation initiatives.

We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate: Significant experience of performance management A strong track record of driving service improvement and organisational change.

Experience developing, monitoring and reporting on KPIs and performance frameworks.

The ability to influence managers and stakeholders to improve operational performance.

It would be desirable, but not essential if the Service Improvement Manager had: Planning, Development Management, Building Control or Regulatory Services.

Local Government Reform programmes.

Business planning and performance governance.
