Sellick Partnership are excited to be working with a national Chambers and Legal 500 ranked firm in Manchester City Centre who are looking for an Employment Associate/Senior Associate to join their team.

This is an exciting time to join one of the leading employment teams in the North as they look to expand.

You can expect to be fully involved in representing a great client base, from SMEs to PLCs, across a range of sectors including retail, sport, manufacturing, financial services, industrial services and healthcare.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Preparing for employment tribunal cases, including preparation of Claim/Response, Employment Tribunal Applications etc
  • Advocacy in employment tribunals
  • Providing day to day support to HR teams as an integral member of the client's service delivery team
  • HR project work on restructurings, redundancies and TUPE
  • Drafting correspondence to the Employment Tribunal, opposing Solicitors, witnesses, ACAS, client advice.
  • General advice - e. g. conduct of disciplinary investigations; grievance procedures; redundancy programmes; general queries about flexible working, maternity rights, paternity rights, etc.
  • Corporate support
