Principal Contracts Solicitor - Locum

A large client in the Wolverhampton area is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts and Procurement Specialist to join their in-house legal services team as Interim Principal Solicitor – Commercial Team .

Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing a team of 7 lawyers and a trainee solicitor.
2. Handling a wide range of high-value contracts, including:

• Commercial and construction contracts
• EU procurement and competition matters
• Joint ventures, partnership agreements, and governance projects
• Employment law contracts
• EU and central government funded work
• PFI and company law advice
• Pension fund matters and grant funding

The ideal candidate will have proven team management experience, a strong background in commercial contracts, and previous local authority experience to ensure adherence to governance principles.
