£20 per hour (approx. £Full-time + On-call rota (1 week in 6) Glasgow ASAP
We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Technician/Plumber to join a leading FM provider, supporting critical healthcare facilities across Glasgow.
You will be part of a skilled maintenance team ensuring the safe and continuous operation of mechanical building systems within a highly regulated environment.
Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Technician:- Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a variety of hospital building services.
- Undertake repairs, minor works and variations (AHUs, calorifiers, heat stations, water systems, medical gases, pressure systems, legionella control etc.).
- Produce accurate risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work documentation.
- Work safely to EQUANS requirements, including SHTM standards, LV/Mechanical/Pressure/Confined Space rules.
- Support overtime and out-of-hours work when required.
- Participate in the on-call rota (additional remuneration provided).
- Liaise professionally with NHS staff, contractors, and colleagues.
- Completed recognised plumbing apprenticeship.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Competent in working on mechanical building services systems.
