We are looking for a SQL Solutions Developer to join a leading Law Firm based in Birmingham City Centre. With growing technology and development teams, this is an opportunity to get in earlier on what is to be an exciting and technology first direction for the firm.
What the SQL Solutions Developer will be doing:
- Develop, maintain and support a high-volume automated case management system used across operational services.
- Deliver system enhancements and support live production environments.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues and recurring system problems.
- Support workflow-driven case processing and rules-based system behaviour.
- Use SQL and T-SQL to analyse system behaviour, optimise performance and implement controlled fixes.
- Produce clear technical documentation and accurate delivery estimates.
- Manage multiple development tasks whilst maintaining quality and deadlines.
- Build strong knowledge of supported systems to improve troubleshooting and enhancement activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical decisions and solution design.
- Adapt to changing business requirements with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
Experience the SQL Solutions Developer will need:
- Experience with case management, workflow-driven or practice management systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and advanced T-SQL.
- Experience supporting systems handling cases, documents and operational data.
- Ability to write clean, efficient and well-documented code.
- Experience with testing approaches, code repositories and SQL performance optimisation.
- Familiarity with profiling and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to manage competing priorities and deliver work accurately and on time.
- Effective communicator with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Experience within professional services, financial services, legal or regulated environments.
- Understanding of Agile development principles.
What the SQL Solutions Developer will receive:
- Annual salary between £45,000 and £52,000 per annum.
- Hybrid Working - structured 3 set days per week onsite.
- Ability to grow existing skillset across new platforms and software tailored towards AI.
- Private sector pension.
