Manager: You will be a key player in a project supporting our central government client to make best use of collaboration tools like Teams, Share Point and Outlook.

You will help people manage information and records with confidence, provide firm, clear guidance and training, and lead a small, close‑knit and supportive team.

In this role you will shape how information is managed across the organisation.

You will support the effective management of information and records throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they are secure, accessible, easy to find and disposed of appropriately when no longer needed.

Your work will improve efficiency, support compliance and enable better decision‑making across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage processes to support collaborative working in the Agency's chosen systems for information and knowledge exchange (MS365 tools including Teams, Share Point and One Drive).
  • Provide a good quality records management service for the Traffic Commissioners, liaising closely with the Office of the Traffic Commissioners to understand their needs.
  • Lead and manage a diverse team, supporting their continuing professional and personal development and ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide a high quality records management service.

Be responsible for wellbeing within the team.

  • Lead involvement in any DVSA projects for records management practices, including writing business cases to seek resources.
  • Identify, record and manage risks relating to records management to support the Senior Information Risk Owner.
  • Lead on the development and maintenance of records management policies and procedure documents.

Person Specification

  • To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
  • Experience of providing clear guidance to people.
  • Experience of building and managing good quality relationships.
  • Experience of working with collaboration tools (e. g. Microsoft Share Point, Teams, One Drive; Google Workspace).
