Quantity Surveyor to join a growing asset management team delivering a significant programme of planned investment works across residential properties and communities.
With a substantial capital investment programme underway, this role offers the chance to make a real impact while benefiting from flexible hybrid working arrangements.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing commercial and contractual support across a range of planned maintenance and investment projects.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on budget, risks are effectively managed, and value for money is achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor
- Managing valuations, variations, certifications and final accounts.
- Supporting contract administration and ensuring compliance with contractual and financial requirements.
- Monitoring budgets, cashflow and commercial performance.
- Assisting with tender documentation, pricing schedules and procurement activities.
- Conducting site visits and inspections of works in progress.
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
- Supporting continuous improvement and delivering value for money across projects.
The Successful Quantity Surveyor will have
- Chartered status, a relevant degree, or substantial equivalent experience in a similar position.
- A proven track record in quantity surveying, contract administration, procurement and budget management within the construction sector.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience within social housing or property investment projects would be advantageous.
