Sellick Partnership are recruiting for a Financial Controls Accountant for a growth focussed retail organisation going through a significant period of continuous improvement. The Financial Controls Accountant will lead on process reviews, design, test and implementation of controls changes to ensure a first class and commercially focussed controls environment. This role will have high visibility across the organisation and a great opportunity to add value from day one and gain recognition with senior management.
- Plan and lead process reviews
- Identify areas of risk and opportunities to drive improvements across financial control
- Design, Test & Implement process improvements
- Lead Quarterly Peer Testing Programme
- Own key relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
The Financial Controls Accountant will work closely with an outstanding team and the broader finance function at all levels to ensure sign off for change and delivery to peer reviews to ensure the end-to-end controls environment is working in conjunction with the commercial growth plans for the business.
The Financial Controls Accountant will ideally come from a qualified audit background (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience of controls testing and audit across large corporates, with a passion for driving improvement and ensuring an effective controls environment. This role will give a great opportunity for career growth, either stepping through the internal audit team or the opportunity to move into other areas such as financial reporting, FP&A or business partnering once you have made a name for yourself in the controls division.
c£50,000 + Strong Bonus + Double contributory pension + Hybrid (3 days in the office)
