We are seeking an experienced adult social care lawyer to join one of our very good local authority clients to cover maternity leave. The role would commence in mid-June/early July and would be for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex caseload of Adult Social Care matters, including:
  • Court of Protection proceedings
  • Deprivation of Liberty (DoLS) matters
  • Nearest Relative issues
  • Judicial Review cases
  • Providing high-quality, timely legal advice to internal stakeholders
  • Represent the Local Authority in court and at hearings where required
  • Role Requirements

    • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with a current practising certificate
    • Demonstrable experience in Adult Social Care law, ideally within a Local Authority setting
    • Strong working knowledge of Court of Protection and related legislation
    • Excellent communication, organisation, and case management skills
    • Fully remote working
    • Supportive and collaborative team environment
