Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Senior Pricing Data Scientist to join a growing insurance business within its pricing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded pricing professional to take on a role with real ownership, visibility and influence.

The successful candidate will support the continued growth of a specialist insurance product, using data, insight and pricing analysis to inform decision-making and help shape future pricing activity.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Pricing Data Scientist will include:

  • Preparing detailed pricing analysis to support senior decision-making
  • Reviewing data and producing clear, accurate insight with minimal technical oversight
  • Recommending pricing actions based on analysis, trading performance and wider business context
  • Interpreting key trends and presenting relevant findings to stakeholders
  • Applying commercial judgement when balancing technical accuracy, speed and market conditions
  • Prioritising workload based on likely business impact and value
  • Working closely with MI and data teams to improve reporting, insight and data availability
  • Supporting the development of pricing capability across the product area

Required experience and qualifications of the Senior Pricing Data Scientist will include:

  • Experience working within personal lines insurance pricing
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills
  • Experience using data to identify patterns, trends and commercial opportunities
  • A degree in a numerate subject, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques for analysis and production
  • Experience using Python and/or SQL would be advantageous
  • Household insurance pricing experience would be beneficial
  • A pragmatic, curious and solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to work at pace while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
