An opportunity has arisen for a Housing Supervising Solicitor to join a growing team at a boutique law firm. This is a great opportunity for an experienced housing lawyer who enjoys managing complex cases while supporting junior team members in a friendly and collaborative environment.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of housing matters, including:
- Possession proceedings
- Homelessness applications and appeals
- Disrepair claims
- Unlawful eviction and harassment matters
- Judicial review cases
- Injunctions and anti-social behaviour matters
You will also supervise junior fee earners and caseworkers, while working closely with senior colleagues on more complex matters.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years' PQE in housing law
- Previous supervisory experience or ability to meet LAA supervisor requirements
- Strong advocacy and case management skills
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Able to manage your own workload independently
- Organised, proactive, and team-oriented
Desirable
- Legal Aid experience
- Experience working under a Legal Aid contract
- Higher Rights of Audience would be an advantage
