Sellick Partnership are excited to be working with the London Borough of Lewisham to recruit a Senior Housing Lawyer to join this new, up and coming team on a permanent basis.
We are seeking a highly experienced and friendly Housing Lawyer who would be able to assist in managing the team and hit the ground running. The main responsibilities of the Senior Housing and Disrepair Lawyer are:
- To handle a more complex caseload of housing litigation and advisory work, including: disrepair, possession, landlord and tenant and general housing advice
- Deputise for the principal lawyer as required
- Manage a group of staff within the team
- Attend court as required
The successful Housing and Disrepair Lawyer will possess the following:
- A current practising certificate - Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- Extensive experience in not just disrepair but all housing law areas
- Experience of working in either a local authority or a housing association ideally, although candidates from private practice with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply
- Ability to go to court
- Ability to attend the office twice per week
