Are you a seasoned procurement professional with a strong track record delivering end-to-end public sector tenders? Our client, a leading public health organisation, is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support a wide portfolio of strategic sourcing activities.
Overview
Procurement Specialist to support a wide portfolio of strategic sourcing activities within public health.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of public procurement projects, from market engagement through to contract award.
- Ensure all tendering activity is fully compliant with Public Procurement regulations, including the Procurement Act 2023 and Public Services Regulations (PSR).
- Engage, influence and support a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity, buy-in, and strong commercial outcomes.
- Prepare clear, articulate documentation including ITTs, evaluation reports, governance papers and procurement strategies.
- Utilise e-tendering platforms (e.g., ProContract) to manage competitions, communications, evaluations, and audit trails.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience running end-to-end public procurement tendering processes.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and a strong understanding of PSR regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional stakeholder management with the ability to build trusted relationships and challenge constructively.
- Excellent communication skills — confident, articulate, and able to present complex information clearly.
- Working knowledge of eTendering systems, ideally ProContract or similar.
