Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Criminal Litigation Lawyer to join one of our London Local Authority clients on a permanent basis. They are looking for an experienced criminal litigation lawyer to become part of their friendly and collaborative team, handling a varied and engaging caseload. The role ideally requires office attendance twice per week, and the client’s preference is for candidates who are able to work full-time hours. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Criminal Litigation Lawyer with a local authority background to further develop their skills within a supportive and welcoming team.
Key responsibilities of the Criminal Litigation Lawyer:
- Providing support to the Assistant Principal and Principal Lawyer, including mentoring and guiding junior team members
- Carrying a varied caseload of Criminal Litigation matters
- Attend licensing committees as required
- Conducting court work in the magistrates’ court as required
Experience/qualifications required for the Criminal Litigation position:
- You must be a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx (ideally with higher rights))
- Able to work on a hybrid basis with ideally two days per week in the office, our client is seeking someone who is able to work full-time – however part-time requests will be considered
- You must have experience in criminal litigation from local authority
