About the Childcare Lawyer Role:

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a locum Childcare Lawyer to join a local authority based in the East Midlands. The role will be for an initial 3-month period with a strong possibility of this being extended.

Key Responsibilities of the Childcare Lawyer role:

  • To act as a legal advisor
  • Advise upon and conduct proceedings relating to the care and protection of children
  • To provide legal advice and support services to clients
  • To carry a caseload of predominantly public childcare care proceedings
  • To attend court and advocate on behalf of the council

The role involves hybrid working as court attendance in person is required. It is essential that you have a background in working in the public sector or local government.
