An exciting new opportunity has arisen within a high-performing, Tier 1 ranked Transactional Real Estate team, designed for a 3+ PQE commercial real estate lawyer who is looking to take their career in a different direction.
While you will be part of a wider transactional real estate practice, this role is uniquely client-aligned, focusing on supporting a small number of high-profile UK clients. You will work closely with London-based client partners, helping to develop and deepen long-term client relationships and moving away from a traditional generalist real estate model.

The role offers excellent flexibility, with the option to be office-based or primarily home-based, alongside agreed travel to the Leeds office at least twice per month (depending on experience). There will be some additional attendance initially for training, as well as occasional travel to London to meet clients and partners.
The wider Real Estate Group is one of the largest in the UK, with nearly 200 real estate lawyers nationally. The Leeds Transactional Real Estate team includes multiple partners and 40+ fee earners. The team is Tier 1 ranked and has received multiple regional and national awards for excellence, known for a commercial, business-focused approach to complex property transactions. There is a strong investment in legal tech, innovation and AI, working closely with in-house innovation specialists.
You will:
- Be a key member of several principal client account teams
- Work on market-leading commercial property matters, including: Landlord and tenant, Property management, Sales and acquisitions, Development and regeneration, Corporate real estate support
- Work directly with London client partners on major accounts
- Build trusted advisor relationships with clients, providing timely, commercial and pragmatic advice
- Take early responsibility within a supportive, high-performing environment
- Play a central role in developing and strengthening relationships with some of the firm’s most important clients

You will:
- Be a UK-qualified lawyer with 3+ years’ PQE in commercial real estate

- Manage multiple matters efficiently while maintaining high client-service standards
- Draft clear, accurate and commercially effective legal documents

- Be motivated by a client-facing, relationship-led role rather than a traditional generalist model
