Sellick Partnership is delighted to be partnering with a well-established, profitable, international branded business in Lancashire to recruit a Finance Manager. This opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion – a clear reflection of the genuine progression and development available within the organisation.

Overview

Reporting to a forward‑thinking Financial Controller, this role offers broad exposure across the business and the chance to make a tangible impact. It is a pivotal role at the heart of the business, responsible for the integrity of the UK general ledger and the delivery of accurate, timely group reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a Financial Reporting team of three, acting as a key liaison for internal and external auditors and partnering closely with senior finance leadership.
  • Provide strong financial stewardship across period‑end, year‑end and group consolidations, safeguarding the robustness of the UK balance sheet and raising standards of quality and control.
  • Manage FX exposure across multiple currencies, oversee VAT and indirect tax compliance, and lead the preparation of UK statutory accounts under FRS 101.
  • Champion continuous improvement, support major initiatives such as D365 optimisation, SOX readiness and technical accounting change, and help shape a resilient, future‑ready finance function.
  • Review, challenge and improve financial outputs, translating complex finance issues into clear, practical insights and influencing effectively across the business.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical expertise in group reporting, consolidations and accounting standards.
  • Proven experience of leading and developing teams.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑driven, proactive and confident working with people and cultures across the organisation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to career development and a drive to effect significant improvement.
