Our client, a Local Authority based in the Southeast is seeking a locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their legal services team for an anticipated period of 3-6 months.

The successful Adult Social Care Lawyer will be able to undertake this position on a remote basis, and our client will consider a working pattern over 3, 4 or 5 days per week.

Responsibilities of the Adult Social Care Lawyer:
  • Making applications to the Court of Protection and High Court
  • Providing detailed, accurate advice on the Council's responsibilities under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Health and Social Care Act 2008, Mental Health Act 1983 and associated Regulations and Statutory Guidance
  • Providing legal advice and support across a broad range of areas including, ordinary residence, Data Protection and Freedom of Information, safeguarding, provider failure and section 117 aftercare.
