Sellick is proud to represent a leading Housing organisation with the recruitment of a Repairs Inspector during a period where there is an increasing backlog of works.
Our client is seeking a confident, proactive Repairs Inspector to help tackle a backlog of inspections and ensure high-quality service delivery to residents. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, property diagnostics, and customer engagement.
As the Repairs and Maintenance Inspector, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and reducing a backlog of repair inspections across your geographical location
- Completing around 15-20 inspections per week (3-4 per day)
- Diagnosing a wide range of repair issues, including roofs, drainage, damp & mould, structural defects and general property maintenance
- Producing clear reports and recommendations on works required
- Working closely with admin teams to raise purchase orders, update systems, and ensure accurate documentation
- Closing off repairs once works are complete and ensuring standards are met
- Maintaining spreadsheets for works completed
What we’re looking for in a Repairs Inspector is:
- Strong background in repairs, property maintenance, or building diagnostics
- Ability to confidently identify and diagnose defects across a range of building components
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Solid organisational skills with experience managing workloads and spreadsheets
