My client, a highly regarded Top 100 and top-ranked UK law firm, is seeking a Non-Contentious Construction Associate to join its leading construction team in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile, complex projects within a firm recognised for its technical excellence, collaborative culture, and strong client relationships.
You will advise a broad range of clients, including developers, contractors, funders, and consultants, on a variety of non-contentious construction matters, including:
- Drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts (JCT, NEC and bespoke agreements)
- Professional appointments and collateral warranties
- Development and infrastructure projects
- Risk management and project documentation
- Advising on procurement strategies and contract administration
- Supporting transactional teams on construction aspects of property and corporate matters
You will work closely with experienced partners, have significant client exposure, and play an active role in business development and mentoring junior team members.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales
- 3-5 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law
- Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
- Ability to manage matters independently while contributing to a high-performing team
