Role: Compliance Officer Location: Hybrid Working – Central London Duration: Six months minimum Money on offer: Day rate – £387.50 PAYE + £46.77 Holiday Pay OR £504.57 Umbrella Experienced Compliance Officer sought for a central government organisation based in Central London, on an interim basis for a period of minimum six months. You will be providing the risk team with additional support and must have financial markets experience either in a regulated firm or regulatory authority. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for: Revisiting the compliance risk assessment and identifying any additional mitigation steps. Assessing information gathered from meetings on compliance matters. Identifying requirements from compliance monitoring IT systems and assisting with pre-procurement activities. Suggesting improvements to existing compliance arrangements in terms of monitoring, testing, governance and training and awareness. Involvement in any compliance issues or regulatory matters that may arise. Completing previously identified compliance priorities. The ideal candidate for the Compliance Officer role should have: At least 10 years\’ experience in compliance in a regulated financial service firm in fixed income and/or money markets or at a relevant regulatory authority Experience of market abuse risk assessments and identifying mitigating actions. Experience of identifying system requirements for compliance monitoring and assessment of potential IT solutions. Highly developed and strong technical skills and an eye for detail Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to simplify complex issues and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including senior management, across business and technical teams (internal and external) Excellent organisation skills and a strong attention to detail. Flexibility and willingness to cover other activities that fall outside of the core role as required. Ability to multi-task and deliver to schedule and to budget Ability to produce high-quality outputs that are accurate, concise, and understandable to a wide audience of stakeholders.
