Sellick Partnership is pleased to be working with an Acute NHS Trust based in the Southwest, who are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to cover a role within their team. This will be an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:
- Lead the planning, preparation and completion of statutory NHS accounts and returns
- Oversee the achievement of key financial accounting and cash-related targets
- Lead the management of the Trust's charitable funds
- Provide strategic oversight of the Trust's cash management function
- Manage Trust purchase cards and treasury management arrangements
- Ensure effective financial systems are in place to support strong financial control
- Lead and performance-manage the financial accounting, charitable funds, cash management and financial systems teams
- Coordinate the preparation of plans, monitoring returns and submissions to the Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England
- Act as the Trust's point of contact for insurance, VAT and banking arrangements
Required experience/qualifications:
- CCAB qualified
- NHS financial accounting experience
