An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a highly regarded Property Securitisation team in Colchester, working at the forefront of the affordable housing sector.
This is an exciting opportunity for a property-focused paralegal to work alongside experienced Partners and Solicitors on high-value transactions ranging from £1m to £500m, while taking responsibility for their own caseload and developing their technical property experience.
The Opportunity:
You'll support a busy team across a variety of significant property transactions, with your workload likely to include:
- Identifying property titles and obtaining Land Registry documents
- Undertaking title checks, property due diligence and searches
- Obtaining information from Local Authorities and other third parties
- Chasing outstanding documentation and managing transaction requirementsCarrying out pre-completion Land Registry searches
- Assisting with post-completion matters
- Providing clients, Partners and Solicitors with regular progress updates
- Helping coordinate and monitor significant transactions
- Managing your own caseload while working collaboratively with the wider team
About You:
- Ideally have previous property or conveyancing experience
- Have strong drafting and legal research skills
- Have excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Can manage a busy caseload and prioritise competing deadlines
- Have strong communication and client care skills
- Are confident using Word, Excel and Outlook
- Can work independently while being a supportive team player
- Are proactive, resilient and keen to develop your career in property
- A 2:1 degree, LPC/CILEX experience or equivalent would be advantageous
