Sellick Partnership is partnering with a public sector organisation in Warwickshire to recruit a Procurement Officer on an interim basis, with strong potential for the role to become permanent. This is a great opportunity for a procurement professional looking to develop their experience within a structured public sector environment, supporting a varied procurement workload and contributing to service improvement.
The responsibilities of the Procurement Officer will include:
- Supporting end-to-end procurement activity, including assisting with tender exercises and documentation
- Working with stakeholders to ensure procurement processes are followed and compliant
- Assisting with evaluation processes and contract award activity
- Supporting supplier engagement and contract management activities
- Contributing to the maintenance of procurement records, systems, and contract registers
- Undertaking basic spend analysis to support cost-saving and efficiency initiatives
- Providing advice and guidance to colleagues on procurement processes where required
- Supporting general procurement administration, including FOI responses and website updates
The ideal candidate for the Procurement Officer role will have:
- Experience within procurement, ideally in a public sector or regulated environment
- Understanding of procurement processes and tendering activity
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Good analytical and organisational abilities
- Working towards or willing to work towards a CIPS qualification
- A proactive and collaborative approach to work
