We are seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join our friendly and supportive Local Authority in-house Legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse and interesting caseload while playing a key role in developing the next generation of legal talent.

You will manage a broad caseload covering both civil and criminal litigation, including housing litigation, providing high-quality legal advice. The role offers genuine variety and may include:

  • Civil litigation matters
  • Criminal prosecutions and regulatory enforcement
  • Housing litigation, including possession proceedings, injunctions and related matters
  • Management of external counsel
  • Advising officers and members on litigation risks and strategy

In addition to managing your own caseload, you will mentor and support a junior member of the team, helping them to develop their technical knowledge and confidence.

We are seeking a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Cilex qualified lawyer with relevant litigation rights. This is a hybrid working role with some weekly office attendance required.
