Sellick Partnership are excited to be recruiting for a locum Prosecutions Lawyer to join a Local Authority based in London. This is an excellent post for a qualified Solicitor or Barrister who is wanting to further their experience in public sector Prosecutions and Regulatory work. This is a hybrid working arrangement that requires ideally 1 day per week in the office.
Responsibilities include:
- Prosecutions and advice for Health and Safety, Trading Standards, Planning, Licensing, Environment, Private Sector Housing, Food Safety and other areas
- Enforcement and recovery of expenses relating to statutory notices issued by Private Sector Housing and Trading Standards and other clients
- Advice to the Council in respect of proceedings before the First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber/General Regulatory Chamber)
- Advice to the Council in respect of licensing (Licensing Act 2003, Gambling, Street Trading and other Licenses)
