We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated Court of Protection Paralegal to join a highly regarded Court of Protection team based in Wolverhampton. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting vulnerable clients and helping them manage their financial and welfare affairs with dignity, care and professionalism. The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative team, working on a varied caseload while developing specialist expertise in Court of Protection matters.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting with the management of financial and welfare matters under the Court of Protection
- Providing long-term, person-centred support to vulnerable clients
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients, their families and external professionals
- Supporting the preparation and administration of Court of Protection applications and ongoing case management
- Managing client correspondence and maintaining accurate case records
- Liaising with external agencies and professionals to ensure clients receive the appropriate support
- Providing high levels of client care while ensuring matters are progressed efficiently
Required experience/qualifications:
- Previous Court of Protection experience is essential
- Experience supporting vulnerable clients in a legal environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, patient and empathetic approach to client care
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
- A proactive approach and a genuine passion for helping others
