We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Associate and/or Principal Associate to join our highly regarded Corporate team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of one of the UK's leading corporate practices and undertake a broad spectrum of high-quality corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures and group restructurings. The majority of our transactions involve national and international clients, many of which are multi-jurisdictional, providing excellent opportunities for career development and exposure to high-profile work.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Associate / Principal Associate role will include:

  • Advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings
  • Managing transactions from inception through to completion
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships as a trusted adviser
  • Working collaboratively with partners, directors and colleagues across the national corporate team
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
  • Contributing to business development initiatives and client relationship activities
  • Delivering commercially focused legal advice to clients across a range of sectors
  • Assisting with complex multi-jurisdictional and international transactions

Required experience/qualifications for the Senior Associate / Principal Associate position will include:

  • Qualified solicitor with significant corporate law experience gained within a recognised corporate practice
  • Strong technical expertise in M&A, private equity transactions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and project management skills
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver exceptional client service
  • Strong commercial awareness and business development capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team environment
  • Experience managing multiple transactions and competing priorities
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to client work
