Role: Commercial Practitioner Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Salary: £43,920 per annum (with a 4.2% increase pending) Hybrid or Remote: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office Location: Nottinghamshire Sellick Partnership is partnering with a leading public sector organisation to recruit a Commercial Practitioner on a permanent basis. The responsibilities of the Commercial Practitioner will be: Delivering operational procurement and commercial services across multiple spend categories. Developing and managing effective procurement strategies through to successful delivery. Running procurements in line with the Public Contracts Regulations, including RFQs and framework development. Providing expert procurement advice, guidance, and support to internal stakeholders. Ensuring value for money through best practice procurement and contract management. Producing high-quality contracts and supporting documentation in compliance with financial and legal standards. Supporting governance and compliance with the organisation’s financial regulations across an annual spend of £250m. Collaborating across teams to deliver effective procurement outcomes and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate for the Commercial Practitioner role will have: Proven experience in delivering procurement strategies and managing complex tendering processes. A strong understanding of procurement law, policy, and best practice. Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong analytical and decision-making ability. Experience working within a regulated procurement environment (public sector experience desirable). CIPS qualification or working towards, or equivalent experience in a commercial/procurement environment. Strong communication and report writing skills.
