A Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor is required to join a major organisation based in the South East on a permanent basis. The Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor will be joining an established in-house legal function and taking on a range of work of national significance.

The successful Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor will be able to benefit from flexible working but will be required to attend the office in the South East at least once a week. This role is perfect for an individual with proven experience managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, commercial risk assessment, and stakeholder liaison across public and private sector interfaces.

The right candidate will have a strong understanding of PFI contract lifecycle management, with a focus on contract handback, asset condition assessment, and compliance with financial and legal obligations. Experience in construction law and/or Public Procurement would also be beneficial, however is not a necessity.

As a Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor, your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the in-house legal team and wider business units to advise on engineering and construction matters related to large infrastructure projects
  • Managing and overseeing the lifecycle of Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize complex commercial contracts.
  • Provide guidance on public procurement regulations and legal policies.
  • Engage in the early stages of contentious and non-contentious legal matters.
