Role: Commercial and Procurement Lead Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £48,894 to £62,253 Hybrid – 2 days onsite and 3 days WFH Location: Nottinghamshire Sellick Partnership is partnering with a public sector organisation to recruit a Commercial Lead on a permanent basis. The responsibilities of the Commercial and Procurement Lead will be: Delivering strategic procurement activities including above-threshold procurements, frameworks, and quotations. Ensuring compliance with procurement legislation, policies, and best practice. Leading and developing a small team of 1 direct report, providing expert advice, coaching, and direction. Acting as principal advisor on commercial, contractual, and procurement matters. Managing and influencing key stakeholder relationships internally and externally to deliver value for money. Driving change and continuous improvement initiatives aligned to organisational goals. Representing the commercial team at regional and national forums when required. Leading complex procurement projects in a highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate for the Commercial and Procurement Lead will have: MCIPS qualification (or be working towards) with substantial procurement and commercial experience. Strong knowledge of Public Contract Regulations, Procurement Act 2023, and Contract Law. Recent experience in Public Sector organisations is essential. Experience in IT Procurement would be desirable. Proven track record of leading and managing teams effectively. Experience in project management, ideally PRINCE2 or equivalent. Ability to handle complex workloads with conflicting deadlines. Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills within a political or regulated environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical stakeholders. A customer-focused approach with the ability to deliver innovative procurement solutions.
