A public sector organisation is supporting the recruitment of a Business Support Officer to join its business support team on a fixed-term basis, with the potential for the contract to be extended subject to funding. This role would suit someone with previous experience in a business support or administrative position, who is comfortable working in a structured public sector environment and supporting frontline practitioners with accurate and timely administration.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensuring accuracy and consistency of information across systems
- Updating the ChildView system
- Supporting Youth Justice Service workers with system updates to meet KPI recording requirements
- Prioritising incoming post and messages and alerting officers and practitioners to matters requiring attention
- Maintaining files and record systems, including scanning and uploading documents
- Ensuring allocated tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timescales
Key skills:
- Previous experience working in a business administration or support role
- NVQ Level 1 in Business Administration or equivalent
- Experience using Microsoft Office packages
- Experience of ChildView / YJS systems would be advantageous but is not essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail
- Ability to plan, organise diaries and manage priorities
A standard DBS check will be required for this role.
