We are excited to be recruiting for a Business Manager to join our specialist recruitment team in our Derby office! We offer a competitive, uncapped commission structure with clear and transparent monthly, quarterly, and annual targets to work towards. Purpose of the role

As a Business Manager you will have a clear and proven track record of delivering highly successful profitable results for yourself and the business. Your role in the business will be to deliver a constantly strong profit line whilst supporting the business to successfully bid and implement new tenders and business opportunities. You will continually deliver on key commercial targets and lead on business development activity within your team.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop a 'patch', interviewing candidates, marketing clients, visiting clients, and placing jobs to achieve your KPIs and targets.
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within your market, extending this to new markets that we could become established in.
  • Maintain and consistently develop your market presence - driving growth year on year.
  • Support the preparation for and attend external events where required to network with new and existing clients and candidates on behalf of the business.
  • Identify new events and networking opportunities that may be of benefit.
  • Lead and manage tenders, proposals, framework agreements and MSP relationships.

Business planning and finance

  • Demonstrate exemplary technical recruitment skills covering all aspects of a 360 recruitment role including: all client and candidate activity, visits, pitching for tenders and written sales.
  • Assist the Senior Manager and Director, with regards to monitoring financial performance, forecasting and measuring actuals vs budgets for your own desk.
  • Actively contribute to daily, weekly, monthly internal sales and team meetings.
  • Take a lead in supporting the business with key frameworks and PSLs and tenders.
  • Support the tendering process from the initial submission of the bid right through to its award within your business unit.
  • Ensure that they are fully embedded and utilised across the division.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and success of these frameworks/PSLs/tenders on an ongoing basis.
  • Undertake competitor analysis and track market share on behalf of the team to understand current market position and seek to maximise this.
  • Take responsibility for your personal brand and social media profile, including writing market or recruitment specific content for the Sellick Partnership website and develop your LinkedIn profile.
  • Promote cross-selling activity across multi-functional teams to generate companywide opportunities.
