We are seeking an IT Digital Governance Manager to join a leading organisation serving Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region. This is a key role focused on shaping digital governance, managing digital access platforms, and ensuring compliance with information governance and data security standards. You will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation, supporting strategic decision-making, and establishing governance frameworks across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the establishment and direction of the Digital & Data Board, ensuring effective governance and oversight.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and deliver the Digital Doorway programme.
- Support the development and implementation of IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Coordinate Design Authority activities to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Manage and oversee digital front-door access platforms and services.
- Ensure compliance with information governance, cyber security, and data protection frameworks.
- Provide strategic input into system architecture and technology decision-making.
Essential Experience:
- Proven stakeholder management experience across multiple business areas.
- Previous experience as an IT Project Manager, Programme Manager, or Digital Transformation Manager.
- Experience working within Agile and/or PRINCE2 environments.
- Strong knowledge of information governance, data security, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience contributing to technology strategy and system architecture decisions.
- Excellent communication and governance leadership skills.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience working within a Local Authority, Public Sector, or Government organisation.
